Our Strategic Partners

Our key business and strategic partners come from local industry, large business enterprises, professional associations, leading educational institutions, government agencies and authorities.

By leveraging the WTC network across nearly 100 countries and regions
in the world, WTCO can share successful economic policy benchmarks and facilitate inter-governmental  and public-private cooperation and MOUs.

Working with our major, strategic partners, we can also advance commercial, industrial, residential and overall economic development plus job creation for the Okanagan region, by attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and increasing regional trade, commerce and exports.

Kelowna Chamber of Commerce 

As a primary advocate for the local business community, the Kelowna Chamber will work in collaboration with WTCO to help regional enterprises navigate and overcome regulatory challenges, build robust business models, and expand their professional networks. This partnership focuses on policy advocacy and strategic initiatives that drive sustainable economic growth across the Okanagan region.

BC Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport

The British Columbia Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport supports tourism, creative industries, and cultural development across the province.  It promotes economic growth, community engagement, and global visibility by funding programs, supporting artists, and strengthening tourism infrastructure while fostering inclusive cultural participation and opportunities for residents, visitors, and investors.  The goals and objectives of this Ministry are well-aligned with the objectives and focus of our WTCO initiative in promoting local tourism, economic development and growth of the arts, culture and sports sectors central to the Okanagan.

BC Ministry of Jobs and Economic Growth

The Ministry of Jobs and Economic Growth manages government services that help support and maintain the strong and diverse economy that British Columbians need for long-term prosperity.  It supports the growth of B.C.’s tech sector, champions innovation across the economy, nurtures small businesses, supports economic development throughout the province, and promotes B.C. internationally as a preferred place to invest and do business.  This Ministry’s mandate closely mirrors WTCO’s vision and mission to facilitate regional economic development and employment growth in the Okanagan through strong global connections for import-export trade, technology development, comprehensive real estate projects and foreign direct investment.

Export Development Canada (EDC)

EDC supports Canadian businesses in expanding globally by providing financing, insurance, and trade expertise.  It helps companies manage risk, access international markets, and grow exports through tailored financial solutions, partnerships, and market insights, strengthening Canada’s competitiveness in the global economy.  EDC’s extensive experience, deep connections and focused resources will be very helpful to the development of our WTCO initiative in international trade, commerce and investment.

Global WTC Partnership Alliance

On an international scale, by leveraging the WTCA and WTC global network, WTCO seeks to work with prominent, leading global WTC partner hubs such as WTC Hong Kong, China WTC, WTC Singapore, WTC Tokyo, WTC Seoul, Dubai WTC, WTC Paris, WTC London, One WTC (NYC), and WTC Los Angeles, plus active Canadian hubs such as WTC Vancouver, WTC Winnipeg, WTC Toronto, WTC Montreal, and WTC Halifax to build a global WTC strategic alliance, closely aligning to facilitate a “new normal” in international trade and investment to counter today’s geopolitical conflicts and protectionist policies, and to increase the visibility, prominence and influence of WTCO and the Canadian WTC network.

As a privately-owned WTC hub, WTCO plans to take a leading domestic and international role in creating new program and service offerings and commercial initiatives for global trade and investment, plus develop an ultra-secure, online technology platform for easy access and facilitation between the global WTC hubs, their membership base, and all other hubs and members throughout the world to enhance dialog, partnership and collaboration, fostering new business relationships and innovation.
